The Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council Scholarship Fund announces the 2026 Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council Scholarship Fund program. Under the program, scholarships will be awarded to children and grandchildren of LIUNA Wisconsin members who are pursuing post-secondary education at a college, university, or trade school. Active members of affiliated unions with the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council are also eligible. Scholarships will be awarded in an amount to be determined by the Scholarship Fund’s Board of Trustees. The related LIUNA Wisconsin member must be in good standing for their child or grandchild to be eligible. Any questions should be directed to the Scholarship Fund at the email below.
Program Guidelines & Priorities:
* Seeking the children or grandchildren of LIUNA Wisconsin members who have a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school-sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities.
* Applicants must be planning on or currently attending a 2- or 4-year university, college, or technical school.
* Applicants must not be a family member of a business manager, assistant business manager, business agent, or secretary/treasurer of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council or its affiliated local unions, or a trustee of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council Scholarship Fund.
* Scholarship funds will be awarded in late December 2026 or early January 2027. The scholarship amount will be paid directly to the recipient’s university, college, or technical school. The recipient will be required to provide the payee and mailing address for the university, college, or technical school where he or she is enrolled. Recipients that are already attending post-secondary education institution will receive their scholarship checks made payable to their institution in January 2027. Graduating high school seniors will receive their scholarship checks made payable to their institution in July 2027.
*Application deadline is November 13, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted.

The applications will be reviewed, and recipients selected by a committee consisting of individuals from the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council Scholarship Fund. The scholarships will be awarded in late December 2026 or early January 2027.

Applicants will receive a confirmation email upon the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council Scholarship Fund’s receipt of their application. If you do not receive a confirmation email by 10:00 p.m., November 20, 2026, applicants should contact the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council Scholarship Fund to confirm receipt. Missing applications will not be considered beyond this date.
Please submit any questions to and completed applications to scholarship@liunawisconsin.org. You are not eligible to receive a scholarship award from the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council Scholarship Fund if you received one in a prior year.
